Baltit Heritage Trust is a part of Aga Khan Development Network was established on July 01, 1991 under the Charitable Endowment Act, 1890

The fort of Baltit is an ancient fortress in the Hunza Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Was established in the first CE, since 2004 has been in the UNESCO World Heritage on the preparatory list.

In the past, the survival of Hunza's feudal system was ensured by an impressive fortress, overlooking Karimabad. The foundation of the fort can be traced back to 700 years ago, during the centuries of reconstruction and alteration. In the 16th century, the prince married a princess from Baltistan, who brought in the main Balti artisans to build the building as part of her dowry.

Khanjrab Pass, Pakistan:

Khunjerab Pass (elevation 4,693 meters or 15,397 feet of) is a high mountain pass, Karakoram Mountains southwest China's Xinjiang region north of the border in Pakistan Gilgit - Baltistan Hunza - Nagar district's strategic position.

The Khunjerab Pass is the highest paved international border crossing in the world and the highest point on the Karakoram Highway. The roadway across the pass was completed in 1982, and has superseded the unpaved Mintaka and Kilik Passes as the primary passage across the Karakoram Range.

Glaciers and streams of Karakoram Pakistan:

The Karakoram is a large mountain range spanning the borders between Pakistan, India and China, located in the regions of Gilgit–Baltistan. In the last ice age, a connected series of glaciers stretched from western Tibet to Nanga Parbat, and from the Tarim basin to the Gilgit District.

Meanwhile, the formations of long Karakoram glaciers are magnificent and are linked by various passes connecting one with another. It is really fascinating to traverse one through another, which needs you to cross over sometimes impeding watersheds into somewhat new areas. It is the combination of route-finding in complicated ice flows, planning complex logistics for necessary transport, and above all the grandeur of circumnavigation into faraway high mountains. Walks through glaciers already known would be a kind of mountain trekking but not exploration

Quetta is the largest city, the capital of Pakistan's Baluchistan province. Plants and wildlife are called fruit garden situated at an average altitude of 1,680 meters (5,500 feet) above sea level in Pakistan only high-altitude major city. The city's population is 896,090, and $ 280 million, making it the sixth largest city in Pakistan.

Sitting near the Durand Line border with Afghanistan's Kandahar province near the northern province of Balochistan, Quetta is a trade between the two countries and a communications center, is also an important military position, Pakistani armed forces occupied a strategic position. The city is unique in that it was the gateway to Bolan Pass and South Asia routes.

Chilas is a small town located in the left side of the Indus River in Pakistan Gilgit - Baltistan. It is connected to the Karakoram Highway, which links to Islamabad to the south through Besham Dassu, Man Sala, Abbottabad and Zawahiri Boolean part of the Silk Road. In the north, Chilas connect Kashgar and taxkorgan through Gilgit, Sust and the Khunjerab port cities in China.

Kalam is known as waterfalls, lakes and lush green hills, 270 km from the Pakistani capital of Islamabad by car. It is a popular tourist destination.

In the 29 km (18 miles), Bahrain and an altitude of about 2,000 meters (6,800 feet), open valleys, offering rooms small but fertile plateau above the river. In Kalam Ushu and Utrot rivers join to form the Swat River. Here, metalled road ends and shingle road leads to the Ushu and Utrot Valley. From Matiltan a snowcapped mountain Falaksir5918 meters (19,415 feet), to get an amazing view and another unnamed peak height of 6096 meters (20,000 feet).
