Winston Churchill (former British Prime Minister and sometime painter) once said, and nowhere is that more evident than in New York City, where an ever-evolving skyline boasts some of the world’s most beautiful structures. As a consequence, New York don’t have to go very far to experience architectural grandeur: Many of the greatest architects to rock the drafting table have left their mark on the Big Apple. Yet as much as we denizens of Gotham might hate to admit it, our fair city isn’t alone in that respect. Indeed, the entire globe serves as the canvas for this creative elite, as you’ll see in our selection of some of the greatest architects of all time.

There were more than 800 #MarchForOurLives protests planned across the globe, from London to Australia.

The main protest was organized by students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where a gunman killed 17 people and injured others on Valentine’s Day. The accused shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, was a former student at the school and was armed with an AR-15-style rifle he had legally purchased a year ago, authorities said.
Now, students around the country — and their allies around the world — are calling on American lawmakers to make schools safer and pass stricter gun-control laws, such as by prohibiting the sale of high-capacity magazines and banning the high-powered, highly-lethal assault-style weapons often used in mass shootings.
As thousands of people began to gather in the U.S. capital Saturday morning, other marches were already underway in cities abroad, including London, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Sydney.
Outside the newly-built U.S. embassy in London, a young child participating in the March for Our Lives there held a sign that read, “Love is greater than FEAR.” A minute of silence was held in honor of the victims of the Feb. 14 school shooting in Florida.

Donald Trump has signed a 1.5 trillion pounds (1.1 trillion pounds) tax cuts.
Although this is the first major reform of the tax law in the United States in 21 years, it is a far cry from the "biggest tax cut" in the history of the United States. This is a view the President has repeatedly proposed on several occasions.
Initially thought that Trump would wait until the new year to turn the package into law, instead, he decided to make it one of his last things, and then put his Florida real estate Christmas

The Ponce de Leon Hotel, also known as The Ponce, St. Augustine, Florida, luxury hotel, Spanish Renaissance style, firm Carrère & Hastings, New York architecture, world renown, DC generators, Thomas Edison,
The Ponce de Leon Hotel, also known as The Ponce, was an exclusive luxury hotel in St. Augustine, Florida, built by millionaire developer and Standard Oil co-founder Henry M. Flagler and completed in 1888. The hotel was designed in the Spanish Renaissance style as the first major project of the New York architecture firm Carrère & Hastings, which would go on to gain world renown.
The hotel was the first of its kind constructed entirely of poured concrete, using the local coquina stone as aggregate. The hotel was also one of the first buildings in the country wired for electricity from the onset, with the power being supplied by DC generators installed by Flagler's friend, Thomas Edison.

Upon entering the the dining hall, one might assume Flagler first years come here to be assigned a house by the sorting hat a la Harry Potter. The first and most obvious feature of the room are the windows, which comprise the single largest private, currently in-use collection of Tiffany stained glass works in the world. More subtle, but no less fascinating, are the chairs hand carved with disapproving cherubic faces.
