Hawaii is the most recent state of the United States of America and 50 , August 21 received statehood , 1959 Hawaii is the only American in Oceania countries and the only one entirely of islands. It is Polynesia 's northernmost island group , occupy most of the islands in the central Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is not the only states in the Americas . Countries do not operate Daylight Saving Time
